I’ve always had great respect for those who chose to become rescue workers. My grandfather became a fireman after he returned from serving overseas in the Second World War, protecting the good people of Elyria, Ohio for over 30 years. Which is why this episode in particular was so important for us to make and share.
By using simple physic concepts – forces, potential energy, kinetic energy, friction, work, and power – Michael Ragsdale and Ben Krupp have created a design that can help save the lives of EMT’s, firefighters and other rescue workers to escape 4-5 story buildings without being injured. Their giving local heroes an easy, simple way out of tough spots so they can keep serving their fellow citizens.
